Plot summary
In a series of interviews, Bret Hart looks back over his career in professional wrestling. The documentary follows him from his first lessons in the Dungeon, the training hall run by his father, through early matches in Stampede Wrestling to his years in the World Wrestling Federation. It covers his tag team days with the Hart Foundation, his move into singles competition, his reign as Intercontinental Champion and his rise to World Heavyweight Champion, as well as the popularity he found overseas and his feud with his brother. Hart also talks about the origin of the Dungeon's name, learning his signature hold and his trademark sunglasses. Match footage he chose himself appears alongside interviews with other wrestlers.

- Originally the DVD was to be named Screwed: The Bret Hart Story and to focus on the negative aspects of Hart's career, much like WWE's The Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior, featuring derisive interview comments from former opponents like Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels and Jerry Lawler.
- Hart said of the project: "It was kind of a smear. It was basically a platform for guys to express their dislike for me and their jealousy." He agreed to take part after WWE essentially told him: "Get on board or we'll run you over."
- Hart has said that a major factor in his agreeing to participate was an encounter with a small child in a dentist's office who had a Bret Hart action figure but had no knowledge of his actual work, knowing him only from WWE video games as a "WWE Legend."
