Plot summary
Mike Tyson recounts his own life in interviews, archival fight footage and photographs. He describes a difficult boyhood in Brownsville, Brooklyn, and the offenses that sent him to a school for boys in Johnstown, New York. Boxing begins for him at a state detention center, and from there a coach passes him to Cus D'Amato, who trains him and becomes the father figure he lacks. Tyson calls his story a response to fear and a refusal to go on being humiliated.
