Plot summary
A top secret government program of experiments with time travel has been shut down and declared too dangerous to continue. The lead scientist disappears with the technology, and a government manhunt for him gets under way. When his name turns up on the manifest of an airliner that has already taken off, the government orders the flight to turn back. The plane instead drops off the radar and vanishes into thin air. Special agents are assigned to track down the aircraft, while scientists must handle the time ripples and the repercussions that endanger the Earth.
