Plot summary
A spaceship crashes into Gotham City Harbor, and a young girl emerges. Her powers cause damage until Superman arrives and repairs it. Batman uses Kryptonite to weaken her and learns she is Kara Zor-El, a cousin of Superman who spent decades in suspended animation. Superman takes Kara in, teaches her English, and helps her get used to life on Earth, while Batman stays suspicious of her. Wonder Woman and Lyla surprise Kara and Clark Kent in a park and propose that Kara train on Themyscira. Superman agrees reluctantly, though Batman and Wonder Woman tell him to keep his distance from Kara. On Apokolips, Darkseid hears of Kara and orders Granny Goodness to bring her to him as a candidate to lead the Female Furies.
