Plot summary
Gaily Morton earns her living as a classical concert pianist. A businessman named Daniel Emerson rapes her. Her brother Albert, a robot scientist, steps away from his work to represent her at the trial. Daniel has friends who swear he was somewhere else that night, and the court clears him. The verdict leaves Gaily unable to go on, and despite Albert's pleas she jumps from the court building. Albert turns to robotics and brings his sister back as a cyborg with crushing strength and built-in torture devices. He sends her after Daniel and after the men who spoke for him.
