Start the Revolution Without Me (1970) on Netflix

Plot summary

Identical twins are swapped at birth in France, and the two pairs grow up in separate lives. Phillipe and Pierre DeSisi are raised as haughty aristocrats, while Charles and Claude Coupé stay poor. With the French Revolution approaching, the peasant brothers are mistaken for the celebrated Corsican Brothers, and both pairs are pulled into intrigue at the royal court, where Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette rule. The comedy sends up the historical fiction of the period, taking in Dickens's A Tale of Two Cities and two novels by Alexandre Dumas, The Corsican Brothers and The Man in the Iron Mask.
