Plot summary
Convict Roger Mason is locked in a high security facility in a futuristic New York, where cryonics freeze some inmates, Mason included, for years at a time. Every attempt he makes to break free is meant to take him to his daughter. The authorities catch him and return him each time, adding years to his sentence. Those frozen years mean he barely ages while his daughter grows up. With more time stacked on the original term, escape becomes an obsession rather than a plan.
