Plot summary
Salvage worker Adrian Toomes loses the cleanup contract for the wreckage of the Avengers' battle in New York to the Department of Damage Control, and he keeps the Chitauri technology his crew had gathered, using it to build weapons and a flying Vulture suit. Years later, teenager Peter Parker returns to Midtown School of Science and Technology, balancing classes, his friend Ned and his aunt May with nights spent fighting crime as Spider-Man. Tony Stark, the mentor who recruited him, tells him he is not ready to be a full Avenger, and Peter waits for missions that do not arrive, learning the features of the suit Stark made for him. Weapons built from Chitauri tech begin turning up around the city.
