Biography
Laura Harrier is an American actress and model who was born in Chicago and raised in Evanston, Illinois. A location scout spotted her as a teenager, and she started modeling before relocating to New York City in 2007 to continue that work, appearing in campaigns and becoming the face of Garnier. She later studied acting at the William Esper Studio and drew her first recognition as Destiny Evans in the 2013 revival of One Life to Live. Her profile grew when she played Liz Allan, Peter Parker's love interest, in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017). She earned a Black Reel Award nomination for her portrayal of the civil rights activist Patrice Dumas in BlacKkKlansman (2018), and she starred as Camille Washington in the Netflix miniseries Hollywood (2020). Her other credits include 4th Man Out (2015), The Starling (2021), the animated special Entergalactic (2022), and White Men Can't Jump (2023).
