Plot summary
General Thaddeus Ross brings Dr. Bruce Banner, the boyfriend of his daughter Betty, in on a Culver University experiment he says will make people immune to gamma radiation. The test fails and Banner is dosed; rage or a pulse above 200 beats a minute turns him into the Hulk. The lab is wrecked and Ross, Betty and bystanders are hurt. Banner goes on the run, and Ross wants the creature as a weapon. Five years on, Banner works at a bottling plant in Rio de Janeiro, five months without a change, using yoga and breathing drills and trading messages with an online contact called Mr. Blue in pursuit of a cure. A cut finger puts a drop of his blood in a soda bottle.
