Snow Bride (2013) on Netflix

Plot summary

Greta Kaine works for a Los Angeles gossip tabloid, where exposing the rich and famous is the job. Word spreads that the sons of the late Senator Tannenhill might propose marriage at the family's Big Bear compound over Christmas, and Greta's old-school editor sets her against her chief rival, Wes, with the editorship of the magazine's new online version as the prize. Her assistant warns her that Wes has a head start, so Greta hurries to the snowy mountain resort. There she is taken for a guest of the Tannenhill family, and to help the eldest son save face with his relatives she pretends to be his girlfriend. Maggie, the family's matriarch, and Peters, its caretaker, are more down-to-earth than she expected, and guilt over the deception grows as she questions what the story is worth to her.
