Plot summary
J.D. McQueen is a teenage music star whose grades have dropped badly, and his parents have put him back into public school to turn them around. A summer tour depends on his marks, and losing it would hurt his career. Jane Brighton, a math whiz in his classes, has long been a fan of his music. He needs tutoring, so he seeks her out, and the two of them begin a relationship over his homework.
