Plot summary
At the Lake View Retirement Home, a masked killer moves through the halls and residents keep dying. The first murder opens a place on the waiting list, and Rose takes it, arriving for a tour of the grounds from Dale, the offbeat manager who runs the place. Her neighbor Fanny, a gossip, brings her in with the group the residents call the gang. The routine of the building is stirred up: tenants are vanishing, some talk of a ghost, and an outbreak is spreading. As fear grows, the guesses about the killer's identity fall on Desperella, the custodial manager, on Kitty, the activities director, and on Zeke, her punk rock boyfriend, as well as on the older residents, some of them suffering from dementia or wanting revenge.
