Plot summary
Mystery Inc. is on hand for the opening of the Coolsonian Criminology Museum, where an exhibit displays the monster costumes the gang stripped from crooks over the years. An Evil Masked Figure interrupts the ceremony, announces the gang's downfall and makes off with two costumes, helped by a supernatural Pterodactyl Ghost. Reporter Heather Jasper Howe then starts a smear campaign against the gang as monster attacks spread through Coolsville. Shaggy Rogers and Scooby-Doo, feeling responsible for letting the villain escape, vow to stop bungling and solve the mystery themselves, a secret plan that puzzles their friends Fred Jones, Daphne Blake and Velma Dinkley.
