Richard Rust
Biography
Richard Rust was an actor who trained at New York City's Neighborhood Playhouse and worked on the stage before moving into films. In the late 1950s he took over a part in the Broadway run of Long Day's Journey into Night, playing alongside Fredric March and Florence Eldridge at the Helen Hayes Theatre. He later took the role of Hank Tabor on Sam Benedict (1962), beating out more than 60 other actors on the strength of his acting experience and his educational background. His screen work included Underworld U.S.A. (1961) and Homicidal (1961), and he also appeared in Naked Angels (1969). Underworld U.S.A. and Naked Angels were described as cult classics that often sold for high prices. He died in 1994.
