Paul Johansson
Biography
Paul Johansson is an American actor and director who started out on the soap opera Santa Barbara, playing Greg Hughes from 1989 to 1990. Born in Spokane, he moved on to guest roles on series including Parker Lewis Can't Lose and Beverly Hills, 90210, where he played the fraternity brother John Sears, and he starred on Lonesome Dove: The Outlaw Years. He is best known for playing Dan Scott on One Tree Hill from 2003 to 2012, and he directed several episodes of that series. His film work includes Soapdish (1991), and he directed Atlas Shrugged: Part I (2011), the first of a trilogy based on Ayn Rand's novel, which drew a 12 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes from 52 critics. He also played Nick Wolfe on Highlander: The Raven and, in 2003, wrote and directed The Incredible Mrs. Ritchie.
