Mo McRae
Biography
An American actor, director and producer, Mo McRae was raised in South Los Angeles and found acting through a high school drama class at Washington Preparatory High School, where landing the lead in a school play led him to give up a basketball team spot. After signing with an agent, he booked national television spots for Visa, Nike and Reebok, which helped him get early primetime guest roles on NYPD Blue, Becker, Boston Public, ER and The Shield. He reached a wider audience with Gridiron Gang (2006), in which he played troubled quarterback Leon Hayes opposite Dwayne Johnson. He went on to a recurring role as Tyler on Sons of Anarchy, starred in Fox's Pitch, and played teacher Michael Perkins in the second season of HBO's Big Little Lies. He also produced and appeared in The Fall, which competed at Cannes in 2008, and directed A Lot of Nothing, his first film, in 2022.
