Marc Warren
Biography
Marc Warren is an English actor born in Northampton. After drama studies at the East 15 Acting School in Essex, he made his professional stage debut in 1986, appearing in Stags and Hens in Northampton. His first major film breakthrough came with the BBC film An Ungentlemanly Act (1992). He received a Royal Television Society award in 2000 for playing Monks in Oliver Twist, then appeared as Albert Blithe in Band of Brothers and as Danny Blue in Hustle between 2004 and 2007. His screen credits include No Night Is Too Long (2002), Hogfather (2006), Dracula (2006), Ballet Shoes (2007) and Wanted (2008). His performance in Burn Up (2008) earned him an overall best actor prize at the 2009 Rome Fiction Festival, and he starred in Mad Dogs from 2011 to 2013. From 2020 he played the title role in the ITV series Van der Valk.
