Luis Barboo

Biography

Luis Barboo was a Spanish actor who appeared in westerns, horror films and fantasy pictures for several decades. Born in Vigo, he played a gunman in the Baxter gang in A Fistful of Dollars (1964). He worked more than once with the director Jesús Franco, appearing as Truto in The Demons (1973) and as Caronte in The Erotic Rites of Frankenstein (1973). In Conan the Barbarian (1982), a John Milius film written by Oliver Stone, he was Red Hair. His other credits included Juan Piquer Simón's Supersonic Man (1979) and Chano Piñeiro's O camiño das estrelas: Galicia (1993), and he continued to work in Spanish cinema into the 1990s. Barboo died in 2001.
