Lalor Roddy
Biography
Lalor Roddy is an Irish actor from Belfast who turned to acting at 33 after working as a psychologist in England. In 1988 he helped found the Tinderbox Theatre Company in Belfast and served as one of its co-artistic directors; the company staged plays by Harold Pinter. At the Abbey Theatre in Dublin he acted in Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme and In a Little World of Our Own, winning an ESB/Irish Times prize for best supporting actor for the second and a best actor nomination in 2004 for The Weir. He is known internationally for screen work, notably as the assassin sent to kill Bran Stark in the Game of Thrones episode The Kingsroad and in the 2018 short Séamus.
