Plot summary
Grace, a restorer, is working in an old church when she finds a hidden crypt and, inside, a voodoo book of resurrection. Father Cornelius sends her home and tells her to forget what she found. Her son Nathan is a shy teenager at the local high school, where Samson and his friend Kenneth confront him. Nathan likes his friend Jessica but is too afraid of rejection to say so, and Cheryl, who already has a boyfriend, pursues him. Nathan's friends Henry and Diggs, tired of his hesitation, set up a meeting between him and Jessica after school. Nathan waits with a note about what he means to say; Jessica, forbidden to leave the house, sneaks out and arrives after he has gone.

- The film was the first non-pornographic film for some years to be banned by the Irish Film Classification Office, over a depiction of suicide; the scene was not cut, the IFCO appeals board overturned the ban, and the film went out with a 15A rating.
- Director Stephen Bradley cast Deirdre O'Kane, his wife, over her objections that she was too young to convincingly play the mother of a teenager.
