Ordinary Love (2019) on Netflix

Plot summary

Joan and Tom Thompson have been together for a long time. Their days follow a familiar pattern, from keeping the house in order to a walk across town that they turn around at a young sapling. Joan has never liked Tom's goldfish. One evening in the shower Joan finds a mass on her breast, and the hospital diagnoses breast cancer. Her doctor arranges surgery to remove the mass and the surrounding lymph nodes, then refers her to an oncologist for chemotherapy. Tom sees a contradiction between an operation that removed all signs of the disease and further treatment for cells that may have spread, and the two disagree sharply over what being cancer-free means.
