John Terry

Biography

John Terry is an American actor, retired from film, television and stage work, who turned to acting full time at 30 after running a river rafting business in Alaska. Born in Vero Beach, Florida, he made his debut as the title character of the fantasy film Hawk the Slayer (1980) and went on to Wild Geese II (1985). His career gained momentum with Lieutenant Lockhart in Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket (1987) and Felix Leiter in the James Bond film The Living Daylights (1987), and he drew good notices as a traumatized Vietnam veteran in In Country (1989). He played Slim in Of Mice and Men (1992), then found new success on television as Christian Shephard on Lost, Bob Warner on 24 and Larry McCoy on Las Vegas. He also appeared in Zodiac (2007) and Surfer, Dude (2008).
