Ernie Lively
Biography
Ernie Lively was an American actor, acting coach and director who spent decades as a character actor. Born in Baltimore, he served as a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and worked as an English professor before entering acting. His earliest screen credits came in the 1970s, with television roles on The Waltons and The Dukes of Hazzard. He went on to appear in films such as Turner & Hooch (1989), Air America (1990), Passenger 57 (1992) and The Beverly Hillbillies, and on television series including The X-Files, That '70s Show and The West Wing. He was perhaps best known for Passenger 57 and for The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005) and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 (2008). He also worked as a director. He died in 2021.
