Plot summary
Chris Kenner is a Los Angeles police officer raised in Japan, with little patience for American ways. His new partner, Johnny Murata, is a Japanese-American who pays his own heritage no mind. Both men are martial arts experts, and what they share is the Little Tokyo beat they are handed. A call at a Japanese restaurant puts them in the middle of criminal activity and yields an arrest, and the man in custody carries the tattoos of the Iron Claw, a yakuza clan. Its leader, Funekei Yoshida, has brought his drug trade to Los Angeles. Minako Okeya sings at the Bonsai Club, a downtown nightclub.
