Christopher Villiers

Christopher Villiers is a British actor who began working in television in the early 1980s, playing Tom Bertram in an adaptation of Mansfield Park and starring alongside Penelope Keith in Sweet Sixteen. He appeared in Doctor Who several times, first in the 1983 story The King's Demons and later as Professor Moorhouse in Mummy on the Orient Express, and he became well known as Grayson Sinclair in the soap opera Emmerdale. Other television work includes Mile High, where he played Captain Nigel Croker, Midsomer Murders, Father Brown and By Any Means. His films include The Scarlet Pimpernel (1982), Top Secret! (1984), A Hazard of Hearts (1987), First Knight (1995), Sliding Doors (1998), Bloody Sunday (2002) and Kidulthood (2006). He also co-founded the casting company 2020 Casting and co-wrote and co-produced the feature Two Men Went to War.
