Plot summary
Ivan Cooper, a civil rights activist and central organizer of the Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association march, leads a protest in Derry on January 30, 1972. British troops are deployed in the city. The day unfolds through Cooper's eyes as soldiers confront the marchers. Troops fire on the crowd, killing thirteen people and wounding fourteen others. The events become known as Bloody Sunday.
