Amanda Wyss

Biography

Amanda Wyss is an American actress from Manhattan Beach who began acting in commercials. She had a recurring role on When the Whistle Blows as Dolph Sweet's daughter and made guest appearances on The Righteous Apples and Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. She took a supporting part as high school student Lisa in Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982). Her breakthrough came in A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), where she played Tina Gray, the first character killed on screen by Freddy Krueger, and Paul Attanasio of The Washington Post wrote favorably about her performance. She also appeared as Beth in Better Off Dead (1985). On television she played reporter Randi McFarland in Highlander: The Series from 1992 to 1993 and Beth Curtis on Cheers. She later played Rabbit Layton in Powwow Highway (1989), appeared in Shakma (1990), and took a role in The Graves (2010).
