Plot summary

Organ failure has swept the planet, and the megacorporation GeneCo supplies replacement organs on credit. Clients who fall behind on payments are hunted by Repo Men, who take the organs back. Rotti Largo, GeneCo's chief executive, is dying, and none of his children, Luigi, Pavi and Amber, strikes him as a worthy heir. He looks instead to Shilo Wallace, whose mother, Marni, was his former fiancée. Seventeen-year-old Shilo inherited Marni's rare blood disease and has never been allowed outside. Rotti promises a cure at GeneCo's fair, and she goes, meeting Blind Mag, the opera singer who speaks for the company and whose eyes are GeneCo's work.
