Plot summary
Nilbog is a small town, and the night of the invasion is Halloween. The visitors from space bring no lasers and no spaceships; what they want is the dead of Earth raised as an army under their command, with the wiping out of mankind as the goal. The townspeople are the only thing between them and total domination. Jeff Trent and Paula Trent are caught in the middle of it, along with Jimmy, Becky, Sarah, Jamie and Edith. Some hold out at the police department, some are trapped in a convenience store, and others are still out on the streets.
