Plot summary
An unseen Grim Reaper looks on as Dublin waster Michael McCrea fails to pay back the thousand euro he owes crime boss Darren Perrier. The enforcers Ivan and Orlando give him until nightfall. Hunting the loan shark known as the Mutt in a snooker bar, Michael finds only his drug-dealing friend Clifford. His estranged father Jim reappears and says he has terminal cancer, and Michael confronts Shamie, the boyfriend who cheats on his neighbor Brenda. The Mutt and Dinny bring Michael in on a burglary; in the house they find photographs of the owner with another woman and plan to blackmail him for thirty thousand euro, with Michael's share promised by morning.
