Plot summary
In Seattle, Agent 11 is a bullmastiff in the FBI's canine unit, working alongside his human partner, Murdoch. The pair raid the hideout of mob boss Sonny Talia, who gets away, and the dog bites him during the operation. From his hospital bed, Sonny orders his bodyguards, Gino and Arliss, to kill the animal in revenge. When the FBI learns of the contract, they send Agent 11 to a training facility in Alaska to keep him out of reach. He slips away from his would-be killers and takes cover in the mail truck of Gordon Smith, a letter carrier who has volunteered to mind James, the young son of his neighbor Stephanie, while she travels for work. James discovers the stowaway and thinks the animal belongs to Gordon.
