Plot summary
Percy Schmeiser farms canola in Saskatchewan. Monsanto brings a legal action against him, saying its Roundup Ready crops were found in his fields and accusing him of stealing its intellectual property. Percy saved his own seed and never bought the company's; his neighbors did, which he believes contaminated his crop. He asks a local lawyer, Jackson Weaver, for help. Rebecca Salcau, who works for the People's Environmental Protect, offers support, though she wants him to speak out in public against Monsanto, something he is at first unwilling to do.
