Plot summary
The PAW Patrol has just pulled a family from a burning boat when a storm catches the team at sea and leaves it washed up on an island where dinosaurs live. The pups meet Rex, a puppy who uses a wheelchair, has been stranded there and can talk with the dinosaurs, among them his T-Rex friend Timmy. With a group of researchers, the pups set up a base on what becomes known as Dino Island, and Marshall takes to a baby T-Rex he names Rhubarb. Word of a diamond reserve there reaches Mayor Humdinger, newly out of jail, who brings in hunter Harper Cutlass and demolition expert Alistair Stonewall. Their dynamite collapses the reserve and sets off a volcanic eruption.

- Production hit a crisis in February 2025 when animation studio Mikros' parent company, Technicolor Group, collapsed and shut down operations, halting all work on The Dino Movie until Rodeo FX bought Mikros' Paris and Canadian units the next month to finish it.
- Despite a $20 million pre-release projection, the third Paw Patrol film opened to just $7.3 million on its first day and $20.5 million for the weekend, finishing behind rival family film The End of Oak Street both times.
- The soundtrack pairs a new Backstreet Boys song, "Bottle Up," with a new Ava Max track called "Work," while the score was composed by Pinar Toprak, returning after scoring the first film, Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie.
