Plot summary
Elliot entertains the woodland animals of Timberline National Forest with a campfire story about the Wailing Wampus Werewolf, a creature the legend places in those woods. Domesticated Boog takes the tale to heart and drops out of this year's camping trip until he can be certain the werewolf is gone. Elliot, Mr. Weenie and the other animals join forces to help Boog master his fear and to settle whether the creature exists. Shaw, a former hunter who now works as a tour guide, comes back to Timberline and spots a creature in the forest. He talks Sheriff Gordy into reopening hunting season, on the condition that he hunts only the werewolf, and enlists Ed and Edna, who run the poutine restaurant Poutine Palace.
