Plot summary
Dexter Riley studies science at Medfield College, where Dean Higgins is worried about the school's finances. A thunderstorm strikes Dexter's invisibility experiment, and the next day part of his glasses has vanished. Further tests show the formula makes objects and people invisible for a time and rinses off with water. A.J. Arno, recently released from prison, arrives at Medfield holding the college's mortgage. Dexter's friends Richard Schuyler and Debbie Dawson are students there too, and Dexter proposes entering the Forsythe science contest with the invisibility formula to win prize money that could save the school, though Higgins would rather back another student's bumblebee study.
