Michael McGreevey
Biography
Michael McGreevey is an American actor and screenwriter who began as a child on television, playing cabin boy Chip Kessler in Riverboat from 1959 to 1961. He went on to frequent work for Disney, appearing in the Dexter Riley comedies The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes (1969), Now You See Him, Now You Don't (1972) and The Strongest Man in the World (1975) as Richard Schuyler, Dexter's friend. Snowball Express (1972) and The Shaggy D.A. (1976) were among his other Disney films, and he played Brownie Evans in The Way West (1967). Guest spots came on The Virginian, Bonanza and Route 66. After film studies at UCLA, he moved into writing, co-scripting the 1978 TV movie Ruby and Oswald before writing for The Waltons, Quincy, M.E. and Fame. He became a script editor and creative consultant on Fame and in 1984 earned a Daytime Emmy nomination. The 2015 documentary Earl Hamner Storyteller was another writing credit.
