Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Anthony Bell, who had co-directed Alpha and Omega, was set to direct Norm of the North but left after Crest Animation Studios filed for bankruptcy and closed in 2015. The film then sat in development hell for over four years before Splash Entertainment took over production.
- Ginny McSwain, hired to voice direct Ken Jeong's lines as the villain Mr. Greene with only a limited amount of time to prepare, called her time on Norm of the North unbearable and said Jeong, whom she had admired, was rude to work with.
- Ken Jeong took the part of Mr. Greene because he wanted to show his twin daughters a film he had starred in, saying most of his movies were ones he could not yet show his kids.
