Plot summary
Linda White is a barren Christian housewife in suburban Texas, where she leads a sheltered life with her husband, Abe. When Abe, who is dying, suffers a stroke at a sperm bank, Linda discovers that for twenty-five years he has been secretly donating his seed there. Through those donations he has a 23-year-old biological son, Raymond, who lives in Florida and is his eldest child. The son she is looking for is a mullet-headed, foul-mouthed ex-con. Granted Abe's final wish, Linda leaves the world she knows and sets out to find Raymond and to reunite father and son before her husband passes away.
