Plot summary
A world-famous recording artist, Mother Mary is preparing to perform again after an accident onstage. Partway through a costume fitting she becomes overwhelmed and leaves, traveling to the English countryside to find Sam Anselm, the fashion designer she once loved and worked with. Sam agrees to make her a dress, though she does so grudgingly, and only three days remain before the show. The two work in Sam's barn, which she has turned into a workshop, and tensions build as the preparations go on. Mary has difficulty putting her vision for the dress into words. Sam asks her about the coming performance and about the accident.
