Plot summary
General W.R. Monger orders the monsters to Modesto, California, just before Halloween, after an alien presence is detected in Susan Murphy's hometown. Susan, known as Ginormica, comes along with Dr. Cockroach Ph.D., B.O.B. and the Missing Link. Dr. Cockroach wants nothing to do with the holiday, since a childhood memory of bullies stealing his swirly pop still bothers him. B.O.B. walks from house to house asking for candy, and the Missing Link tries to frighten people. At a nearby farm, pumpkins are handed out free, and one family takes the largest, which a boy names Wicked Jack. Jack-o-lanterns sit on doorsteps and windowsills all over town.
