Plot summary
Regina and Franklin have been married for six years and their friends treat them as a model couple. At Thanksgiving the two quarrel badly and the trust between them breaks, so they agree to end the marriage, which will be final on Christmas Day. Until then, Regina stays at the Chesterton Hotel in a suite that belongs to her best friend Trish.
