Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Meet the Fockers (2004)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Twins Spencer and Bradley Pickren shared the role of Little Jack; their mother, a pediatric nurse, had taught them sign language from birth, and using two babies let the crew swap in a fresh twin whenever one got tired, working around child-labor time limits.
- The head-butt Ben Stiller takes in the film was added digitally, but he still had to fake being hit on set by grabbing his face, cursing loudly, and smearing on fake blood, which upset the young Pickren twins enough that they stayed wary of him afterward.
- To help build the character of sex therapist Roz Focker, the filmmakers consulted real sex experts Jennifer and Laura Berman, who described the difficulty people in their field face keeping their own children from learning about sex too early, an idea folded into the film.
- Meet the Fockers broke The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King's records for both the highest Christmas Day gross and the biggest single-day Tuesday gross, taking in $19.1 million and $12.6 million respectively.
