Love Object (2003) on Netflix

Plot summary

Kenneth Winslow is an efficient but lonely technical writer in Los Angeles, and his boss Novak hands him three long manuals to finish in a very short window. Lisa Bellmer arrives as a temporary typist to help with the work, and she seems out of place among the office staff. Colleagues show Kenneth an expensive rubber sex doll called Nikki for sale on the Internet, and he orders one. When the delivery arrives, the manager of his building takes an interest in the large package. Kenneth reads the manual that comes with the doll and gives Nikki a personality modeled on Lisa, talking with the doll and arguing with her. He and Lisa begin to grow closer as he helps her settle into the job.
