Plot summary
Sam is a self-destructive, vaguely artistic bohemian living in New York. He has lost his father and his long-time girlfriend, and it is autumn. World-weary and a sloppy drunk, he is at a Halloween party when he meets Anna, a mysterious and beautiful woman. Their affair is kinky and sex-charged, and it takes him from his friends into addiction and madness.
