Plot summary
Denise and Danny Zanders are newly married and have started their honeymoon by the ocean in New Jersey. While Danny sleeps on the beach, a ragged man rises out of the water, holds him down and pours black fluid into his mouth. Danny cannot be revived at the hospital, but he comes back on his own as the doctor tells Denise he is dead. Once home, the vegetarian Danny craves meat, and Denise finds him eating a man in the bathroom. She cleans up after him and hides what he has done, and his skin begins to peel away.

Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Zombie Honeymoon (2004)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Writer/director David Gebroe wrote Zombie Honeymoon after his sister's husband died in a surfing accident in March 2002, shortly after Gebroe finished his first feature, The Homeboy. Details mirror his sister's story, including her art and her plan to move to Portugal with her husband.
- Gebroe used zombies to represent "the cruel hand of fate", inspired by the psychobilly music his sister and her husband enjoyed and by Lucio Fulci's 1979 film Zombie, which he and his sister saw as young children.
