Plot summary

An eccentric paleontologist, Sir Hugo Coal, takes more interest in the dinosaur bones he reconstructs than in his wife, Lady Harriet Coal. Their daughter Cleo Coal brings home the man she intends to marry, Sidney Giblet, an aspiring poet, and Sir Hugo is not pleased by the match. The household takes on a new butler, Fledge, who gives Lady Harriet the attention her husband withholds.
