Plot summary
Julian Po is a depressed man with no goals who arrives in a small, sleepy town that has no future. He has one intention, to kill himself. The locals think the stranger is up to no good at first. They bother him for a while, and he admits in frustration that he has come there to end his own life. Once they learn of his plan, their suspicion turns to sympathy. The town turns Julian into a minor celebrity and hands him all sorts of free perks, since his plan is the biggest excitement the place has ever known.
