Plot summary
The children of Bayleen Bay are drawn to an ice cream truck whose driver says nothing. Jared Mayfair, who is lactose intolerant, does not eat what the truck sells, and he finds the man strange. The driver turns up behind him on the road as he cycles home. Jared also sees that the children who did eat the treats seem to be in a trance, watching videos of the cartoon character painted on the truck.
