Plot summary
Ryan Phan wakes in his car on September 19 and walks in on his roommate Carter Davis and Carter's girlfriend, Tree Gelbman. Ryan works on a quantum reactor with Samar Ghosh and Dre Morgan to slow time, until Dean Bronson shuts it down for power outages. That night, a figure in the school mascot Babyface costume murders Ryan, and he wakes again on the 19th. Tree, who once relived September 18th, and Carter agree to help him. They learn the reactor created the loop. When the masked killer tracks Ryan down, Ryan activates the reactor, and an energy pulse knocks everyone out. Tree wakes on September 18 in a parallel universe where Carter is with someone else and her friends seem different.
